After arriving, paramedics were able to get Fritz stable enough to move. They transported him to a local hospital to receive treatment for the injuries he sustained in the accident. Reports did not release the extent of the injuries he suffered in the accident.
The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office is citing Fritz based on their preliminary investigation. Their report indicates that Fritz was driving negligently at the time of the accident, and that is what caused the chain of events. His only citation at this time is for improper use of the shoulder of the roadway. This is illegal and reserved for use by emergency personnel.
There were no other passengers in the vehicle with Fritz at the time of the accident. Police are currently still investigating.
