The Harris County Sheriff’s Office later released that 21-year-old Alfonso Quintanilla and 25-year-old Francisco Vargas were the other two men who were killed as a result of the accident. They did not clarify which was the front seat passenger and which one died on the way to the hospital for treatment.
The fourth passenger in the vehicle was identified as 25-year-old Alan Parada. He was transported to the hospital where he was last listed in serious condition. He has already undergone one surgery and could be facing more as a result of the accident.
The deputies are not sure what the connection between the men in the car was, but they all appeared to be around the same age.
Based on a statement from Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales, the accident scene was devastating. He gave the graphic example that the entire motor of the vehicle had become lodged in the front compartment, meaning it was in the front seats of the vehicle following the accident.
Investigators are trying to determine if any other factors besides speed are responsible for the accident that claimed the lives of the three men. They are currently working to see if alcohol could have been a contributing factor given the time of night/morning and the ages of the men.
