According to a press release, Jauregui and a passenger were involved in an accident with a parked car. This will be a felony charge for Jauregui.

The passenger in the car was injured in the accident and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries. There has not been any other information released on the passenger of the vehicle.

At the scene, police officers conducted a DUI investigation on Jauregui. They determined that his blood alcohol content level was over twice the legal limit.

The Paso Robles police immediately arrested an uninjured Jauregui and charged him on suspicion of a felony DUI causing bodily injury. He is also facing other charges related to the accident.

He was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail early on Saturday morning. He was given a bail hearing and was issued a bail set at $100,000.

A traffic stop saturation patrol is conducted by area law enforcement agencies. These agencies assign additional manpower and squad vehicles for the purpose of catching impaired drivers. They specifically target locations and times that are most vulnerable in order to help reduce the number of drivers under the influence.

The Paso Robles Police Department has officers out full force enforcing traffic stop saturation patrols. These are being funded through a grand that was issued from the California Office of Traffic Safety.

At the time of publishing, Jauregui was still in jail awaiting sentencing. There has been no indication that he has procured legal counsel for his charges.
