During rush hour on Tuesday, February 4th in West Valley, near Phoenix, 3 people were seriously injured in a car accident. The three people who were injured were a 44-year-old female, a 29-year-old female, and a 2-year-old male. All three individuals were taken to a nearby hospital for emergency care.
At this time, it is unclear how severe the injuries were. However, all three people needed immediate medical treatment. The Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway was closed for hours following the crash.

Two semi-trucks and several other vehicles were involved in the accident. More than three people were involved in the accident. However, only three people sustained injuries that were serious enough to be rushed to the hospital.
However, all of the vehicles involved in the crash sustained significant damage. 8 people total were treated at the scene of the accident. One of the semi-trucks involved in the accident was transporting acetylene and oxygen tanks.
Following the accident, traffic was redirected off the freeway at Buckeye Road. This resulted in a major congestion of traffic which went all the way back to Broadway Road. Traffic is now flowing normally on the Loop again, however.
