Both Forker and Kumar was thrown off of the motorcycle at impact. It was the violent landing following being thrown off of the motorcycle that caused the injuries to both individuals. Kumar’s injuries were simply too severe to recover from.
Both individuals were rushed to the hospital. Forker survived his injuries, but Kumar did not and she was pronounced dead at the hospital. Currently, even though he is alive, Forker is still in critical condition and receiving round-the-clock medical care.
Police are still investigating this accident. However, the cause is believed to be reckless driving on the part of Austin Forker. It is not known if either individual was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident or whether or not wearing a helmet would’ve made a difference in the injuries sustained.
