BAKERSFIELD, CA – Two people died as the result of a high-speed single-vehicle crash in southeast Bakersfield Wednesday night.
According to KBAK, the accident occurred at about 10:25 p.m. within the 500 block of Ming Avenue.

Police say the driver of an unspecified vehicle was traveling east on Ming Ave. when they veered off the roadway and into a utility pole.
The vehicle involved in the crash was split in half as a result. Two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. Another two were transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The identities of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation.
