LONG BEACH, CA – Two people were hospitalized Saturday afternoon when a passenger vehicle collided with a Long Beach Police Department cruiser.
According to the Long Beach Post News, the incident happened at about 2:30 p.m. on April 10. The officer was responding to a call at the time, and was traveling west on Market Street with the vehicle’s lights and siren activated. The other motorist failed to yield for the police vehicle, and collided with it near Market’s intersection with Atlantic Avenue.

Both drivers were taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure. Their current conditions are not known.
