LEMON GROVE, CA – A 13-year-old boy was struck by a car last Thursday as he walked down the street in his Lemon Grove neighborhood, Fox 5 San Diego reports.
The accident happened along Central Avenue, a part of Lemon Grove that is often criticized for being dangerous to pedestrians. The street is lined with homes but does not have a sidewalk. Residents also claim the hills and speed at which drivers come through also add to the danger.

The young victim did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. The force of the collision destroyed the windshield and damaged the bumper of the car.
