WESTMINSTER, CA – One person died early yesterday morning when several cars collided on I-405 at Beach Boulevard/SR 39.
NBC Los Angeles reports that the incident happened shortly before 1:20 a.m. on April 26, in the interstate’s northbound lanes.

Witnesses told responding CHP officers that three vehicles had been involved, including a yellow Ford Focus and a grey Ford Mustang that blocked the right-hand lane.
Emergency responders pronounced one person dead at the scene.
Northbound I-405 was closed to traffic until just after 3:20 a.m. No further details on the crash are available at this time.
