POMONA, CA – One person was injured yesterday when a car collided with an apartment building in Pomona and caused a gas leak.
KFI AM 640 reports that the collision happened in the 1600 block of South Garey Avenue at about 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20.

Emergency responders extricated the injured motorist from the vehicle and transported that individual to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
The crash caused a gas leak in the building, which necessitated a response from utility crews. About two dozen people were evacuated from the complex as a precautionary measure.
The exact cause of the crash remained under investigation as of later that day.
