FRESNO, CA – One person was taken to the hospital after a collision involving a tractor-trailer in Fresno last Thursday evening.
According to Fox 26, the accident occurred when the tractor-trailer was attempting to make a legal U-turn within the intersection of Minnewawa Avenue and Jensen Avenue around 5:45 p.m.

In the process of making the U-turn, the driver of a pickup truck collided with the big rig and became stuck under the trailer.
The driver in the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital to be treated for moderate injuries, their passenger was treated for minor injuries at the scene. The big rig driver was not injured.
Witnesses told police they believe the driver of the pickup may have been under the influence at the time of the crash.
