LOS ANGELES, CA – A 37-year-old woman was killed in a freeway accident on Sunday morning, NBC Los Angeles reports.
The victim was a passenger in a 2006 BMW 328 travelling east on I-10. Another vehicle had become disabled and was left abandoned in traffic lanes. The 51-year-old man driving the BMW crashed into the back of this abandoned car.

Both victims were transported to the hospital. The driver suffered moderate injuries but the passenger later passed away.
Other vehicles later crashed into the wrecked BMW on the highway. No injuries have been reported from these additional collision.
