FRESNO COUNTY, CA – A woman was killed early Saturday evening when a blowout sent an SUV crashing into her vehicle, the Fresno Bee reports.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 4:45 p.m. on April 10, when a GMC Yukon traveling east on Highway 180 experienced a blowout to its rear passenger’s side tire near the intersection with DeWolf Avenue. The Yukon entered the westbound lanes, where it collided with a Ford Focus and an Audi SUV.

The driver of the Audi died at the scene. She has been identified as Amanda Smith, a 34-year-old resident of Sanger.
The two other drivers were taken to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries. We do not know their current conditions.
CHP do not believe intoxication or impairment were factors.
