FRESNO, CA – A woman was killed on Thursday morning as she tried to get out of her moving vehicle, Fox 26 reports.
The fatal crash occurred on Elm Avenue around 6:30 a.m. Initial investigations suggest that the woman was attempting to make a U-turn on Elm Avenue when she lost control and began drifting towards a tree.

As her SUV closed in on the tree the woman attempted to exit the car. She was unable to do so and ended up pinned between the tree and her vehicle.
She died at the scene. Police do not suspect that alcohol or drugs were a factor in her death.
