MALIBU, CA – Officials say a woman was airlifted to a nearby hospital after crashing off a 100 foot cliffside in Malibu on Wednesday.
According to KTLA, authorities were initially alerted of a car careening off the side of Malibu Canyon Road near Pacific Coast Highway around 4:22 p.m. The woman was ejected in the accident and the vehicle fell into rugged terrain.

Crews with Malibu Search and Rescue responded to the scene and rescued the victim with a Fire Department helicopter.
The woman was taken to a trauma center in the area with minor to moderate injuries.
The were no other vehicles involved in the accident.
