A Puyallup man was tragically killed on the train tracks near East Pioneer Avenue on Sunday.
65-year-old Keith Clay was sadly hit and killed Sunday night by an Amtrak train in Puyallup, Washington. Law enforcement at the scene stated that at approximately 8:45 p.m. local time, the northbound Amtrak train struck a man in the area of the 600 block of East Pioneer Avenue. The train’s staff realized they had hit something and promptly alerted authorities.

Tragically, Mr. Clay was declared dead at the scene.
Investigators were able to locate the victim’s body beside the tracks. The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Mr. Clay’s death an accident.
