A young lady was severely injured as a result of a crash due to tailgating in Issaquah last Thursday.
32-year-old Jaime Martin was badly hurt in a two-car accident on Thursday in Issaquah. Local law enforcement stated that the accident occurred at approximately 5:17 p.m. local time after Mr. Martin’s 2019 sedan crashed into another car, a 1998 sedan, driven by 92-year-old James Roelker right in the area of Westbound Interstate-90 and West Lake Sammamish in Issaquah.

It was also reported that Mr. Roelker was tailgating, trailing the victim’s vehicle too closely at the time of the terrible incident.
Medics promptly got to the scene of the crash and transported the victim to a local medical center where she is receiving treatment for severe injuries, law enforcement added.
TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
Issaquah law enforcement are investigating the terrible tragedy and will attempt to decipher what led to the incident in the first place. Law enforcement personnel will release an official police report after the investigation is concluded, and Roelker, who purportedly tailgated another driver by following him too closely appears to be negligent and could be ticketed or charged as a result.
