ESCONDIDO, CA – A speeding vehicle flew off the highway and crashed in Escondido on Sunday morning, leaving one person dead, the Times of San Diego reports.
The crash occurred near the Camino del Rey overpass around 4:55 a.m. A small vehicle was travelling at 120 miles per hour when it flew from Lane 1, across the highway, and down the embankment.

Initial reports indicate that one victim was thrown from the car on impact. No further information is available on the crash or whether there were other injuries.
