SAN DIEGO, CA – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol reported a single lane closure resulting from a vehicle fire on I-8 Wednesday morning.
According to Caltrans, the fire was reported in the westbound lanes of I-8 west of State Route 79 shortly before 11 a.m.

No word on the cause of the fire or if any injrues were sustained in the fire has been releasd at this time.
The right lane was blocked for about an hour while fireifighters worked at the scene. All lanes have since been reopened.
