LONG BEACH, CA – An accident earlier this week in Long Beach has now resulted in a second fatality, according to CBS Los Angeles.
The accident occurred on Monday morning at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and 21st Street. A 44-year-old woman was driving a 2017 Honda Civic north on Pacific Avenue when she crashed into a Toyota Camry.

A woman in her twenties, who was a passenger in the Camry, was killed at the scene. The 21-year-old driver of the Camry was hospitalized but has since passed away in the hospital.
The driver of the Civic and her passenger were both hospitalized in stable condition.
Police believe excessive speed was a factor in the crash and are investigating to determine if drugs or alcohol were also involved.
