CHULA VISTA, CA – Police have revealed the identity of the street racer who crashed into a car Monday, killing the driver, a 57-year-old grandmother, reports NBC San Diego.
On June 5, Alonso Pina, 22, was driving a Mustang while racing a white Subaru when he ran a red light and collided into a Nissan Altima at the intersection of 3 Ave and L St.

Following the initial collision, two other vehicles crashed into the Altima. The driver,Martha Villalobos Romo, 57 died at the scene.
Romo had two grand children in the car with her. They suffered minor injuries and have been released from the hospital.
Pina was hospitalized following the crash with non-life-threatening injuries. He will be charged with vehicular manslaughter once he is released. The driver of the white Subaru is still at large.
