The deceased was riding a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when he left the roadway for unknown reasons and drove into the west barrow ditch. Sgt. Dan Buesing of the Texas Department of Public Safety said Ramsey went through a fence and struck a tree.
The last collision ejected the man from his motorcycle, and he landed on the ground with severe wounds. The biker succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and the Justice of the Peace Robert Woodruff pronounced him dead.
The THP and the TDPS have not released additional information, and it is unknown if speed or impairment played a role in the tragic accident.
A motorcycle crash is one of the leading causes of accident fatalities in the state of Texas and the United States. Accident reports show that a motorcyclist either crashes alone or collides with a motor vehicle.
In either case, the motorcyclist often suffers fatal wounds, with a car driver going unscathed. Traffic officials advise bikers to exercise care and caution when on the road to save lives, and prevent injuries.
