According to official reports, a man identified as James White, 41, of Dawsonville, was heading east on the highway in a Dodge Ram Truck. The man was trying to negotiate a curve to the right when the car crossed the centerline and struck a Ford Focus, driven by Fried.
Officials said that White was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The Dodge Ram overturned on its roof, leaving the man injured, but alive. Paramedics then transported him to the hospital for treatment.
Fried, on the other hand, sustained fatal injuries despite using a seatbelt. There is currently no update on White’s condition, and the GSP said that the charges against him are pending. The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Crash Reconstruction Team carried out the preliminary investigation.
Pending when the authorities file charges against White, he can acquire a car injury attorney to advise him of his rights and liabilities. Fried’s family can also hire one as the Georgia law allows them to bring a civil action against the driver.
