BAKERSFIELD, CA – According to KGET, a pickup truck slammed into a commercial building in downtown Bakersfield on Friday.
The accident reportedly occurred at about 8:50 a.m., near the intersection of 24th Street and Drake Street.

Authorities say the truck crashed through the wall of an office at Monroe & Sons Produce Distributors. Owner Mark Monroe said the room was fortunately empty, as he was in the back office and his brother was running late.
The truck driver was also uninjured. Monroe expected repairs to begin later today.
