LOS ANGELES, CA – A man was killed in Panorama City when he was struck by a truck as he climbed out of a manhole, ABC 7 reports.
The incident occurred around 10:25 a.m. on Parthenia Street. The victim partially lifted the manhole cover and has hit by a white Chevrolet Silverado as he attempted to climb out.

The Silverado continued down Parthenia Street. The victim was pushed back down the manhole and died at the scene.
It is not clear why the man was in the hole at that time.
Police are searching for the driver of the truck.
