BAKERSFIELD, CA – Authorities say a pedestrian was struck by a train in southwest Bakersfield on Thursday morning.
According to Bakersfield Now, the collision occurred at about 5:46 a.m., on the tracks near the intersection of Stine Road and Pacheco Road.

No details regarding the extent of injuries were provided.
Authorities temporarily shut down Stine Road between Pacheco Road and District Boulevard.
The accident remained under investigation by Bakersfield Police Department.
