While trying to negotiate a ramp onto Pecatonica Road, he lost control of his motorbike and entered the median. Following the impact, the motorcycle flipped over several times before resting finally. Police officers and a crew from Byron and Leaf River EMS arrived at the crash scene. Medics flew Brannon on a REACT helicopter to a hospital where he was treated.
More investigation into the accident revealed that Brannon was operating the motorcycle under the influence of alcohol. The police charged him with DUI, and are continuing with their findings of the crash.
