LONG BEACH, CA – A SUV struck and killed a security guard on Saturday, reports Redlands Daily Facts.
First responders were dispatched to the Century Villages at Cabrillo apartment complex after receiving reports of the crash around 3 p.m.

Quentin Darnell Black was driving a Chevy Tahoe when he lost control of the vehicle and slammed into the security station.
Derrick Smith was injured in the crash and died at the scene despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics.
Following the collision, Black fled the scene on foot.
Authorities arrested Black on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run on Monday.
