A man was arrested for elder abuse after allegedly stabbing a woman in Fort Bragg, California. The Fort Bragg Police Department said that on Wednesday, April 1st, Shiloh Alonso, 28, stabbed a 68-year-old woman in the neck with a knife.
The assault occurred in the 100-block of Minnesota Avenue. The FBPD said that they received a 911 call from Alonso saying that he stabbed a woman. The police then dispatched officers to the location, and they arrived shortly before 2 p.m.

The officers found the woman, who remains unnamed, with a wound to her neck, and Alonso still with her, without fleeing. They detained the young man, while the older woman received first aid treatment from the paramedics.
An ambulance then conveyed the woman from the scene to a waiting helicopter. The latter took her to a hospital in Sonoma County. The police took Alonso into custody and booked him into the Mendocino County Jail.
The young man is facing charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and felony battery. Alonso also got charged with elder abuse. The FBPD is investigating to determine what led to the attack. They will update the public as things unfold.
