Preliminary investigations showed that Sun might have been driving at excessive speed at the bottom of the ramp. This caused him to crash while trying to turn. Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
It is dangerous for motorcyclists to drive at excessive speeds on roads. By speeding, they run the risk of losing control of their vehicles, leading to collisions with other vehicles or objects.
Motorcycle riders must go slowly when about to make turns, especially on roads with sharp curves. Speeding at such curves can cause motorcyclists to slide off the road, leading to injuries or death.
Bikes offer less protection from accidents than cars and other types of vehicles; hence riders must wear helmets and other safety gear.
According to accident reports, riders that wore helmets during collisions suffered fewer injuries compared to those without helmets. There were also fewer fatalities when riders used helmets than when they failed to do so.
