LONG BEACH, CA – A crash on southbound 405 killed one person in Long Beach on Tuesday afternoon, CBS reports.
The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of 405 near Lakewood Boulevard around 8:30 p.m.

The victim’s vehicle crashed into the center divider before flipping over and catching fire. Someone emerged from the wreckage and endeavored to run across the freeway. They were then struck by another vehicle.
This person died at the scene. No other injuries have been reported. The cause of the initial accident is unknown.
