The man whose life ended in an accident near Capay, California, has been identified by the Yolo County Coroner’s Office. In updated accident reports on Thursday, July 2nd, the coroner named Roland Salas, 57, of Suisun City, as the fatal victim.
The early morning crash happened on Highway 16 at about 5:04 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1st. It occurred precisely east of County Road 82 and west of Capay. According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle accident involved an Acura RDX traveling east.

The investigators said that Salas veered off the south road edge for unknown reasons into the southern shoulder of the roadway, where it overturned onto its left side. Passersby extricated the victim from the wrecked car with the help of American Medical Response personnel.
The latter pronounced Salas dead at the scene and took his body to the coroner for identification. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, but there’s currently no additional information.
