The authorities said that the vehicles collided for unknown reasons on the highway near Penman Road. The cars were so wrecked that it took the effort of the Los Angeles County Fire Department to get Daniels out.
After extracting the man, the medics took him to the hospital. The CHP said that Daniels later succumbed to his wounds while undergoing treatment. The second driver, who remains identified, was also taken to the hospital with severe trauma.
The condition of the second driver remains unknown at the time of this report. The cause of the accident is under investigation, and the authorities would provide answers once they have them.
Vehicular collisions are not uncommon in California and the United States. Accident reports have shown that there are different forms of car crashes — like rollovers. The latter is a reflection of the vehicle’s interaction with the road and environmental factors.
Others are single-vehicle crashes, rear-end collision, side-impact collision, and head-on collision. To prevent accidents, authorities have advised drivers to pay attention while driving, and obey traffic regulations.
