LONG BEACH, CA – Two people are dead after a DUI suspect caused a multi-vehicle accident in Long Beach on Saturday morning, ABC 7 reports.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and 52nd Street around 11:30 a.m.

A 26-year-old man was driver a 2006 GMC pickup truck when he became enraged with another vehicle and chased it for several blocks at high speeds. Witnesses say the second vehicle was attempting to disengage when the driver of the GMC lost control and hit a third vehicle, a 2004 Toyota Corolla.
A 23-year-old pregnant woman and a 10-year-old boy were passengers in the GMC. The woman and her unborn child were pronounced dead at the hospital. The 10-year-old’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The driver of the truck was arrested and charged with two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, one count of driving under the influence, and one count of child endangerment.
