LONG BEACH, CA – Investigators with the Long Beach Police Department are seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual responsible for a fatal hit-and-run Tuesday evening.

Police say an unidentified woman was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. They believe the motorist was traveling at a high rate of speed when they struck the woman, who was walking in the designated crosswalk.
The suspect’s vehicle has been described only as red with serious front-end damage.
