LOS ANGELES, CA – An elderly man was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in the Boyle Heights neighborhood last Friday.
According to My News LA, the accident occurred within the intersection of Mott Street and Whittier Boulevard around 10:35 a.m.

Police say the man was attempting to cross the street when he was knocked off his scooter and dragged for half a block by a compact SUV.
The driver stopped while a witness helped him to remove the scooter from his vehicle before speeding away from the scene.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
