BAKERSFIELD, CA – Officials with the Bakersfield Police Department say a woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in northwest Bakersfield on Tuesday night.
According to The Bakersfield Californian, the collision occurred near the intersection of Tumwater Avenue and Calloway Drive shortly before 11:58 p.m.

BPD’s news release stated a female driver was rushed to a nearby hospital with major injuries. She later passed away at the hospital.
The victim was identified by the the Kern County coroner’s office as 43-year-old Carrie Cuca Lopez of Bakersfield.
The other driver, an adult male, suffered minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
