NEWPORT BEACH, CA – Two people were killed as the result of a multi-vehicle collision near Pelican Hill Golf Club Tuesday evening.
The accident occurred at about 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of South Pelican Hill Road and Newport Coast Drive, according to the OC Register.

Police say an SUV driven by a single motorist crashed into another vehicle carrying two adults and three minors. A man and a woman in the second vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
No information on the conditions of the children has been made available at this time.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
