SAN DIEGO, CA – Two male passengers were killed as the result of a single-vehicle crash in La Jolla Sunday morning.
According to CBS 8, the collision occurred at about 3:16 a.m. at the intersection of Torrey Pines Road and Girard Avenue.

Police believe the unidentified 26-year-old male driver of a Nissan Altima failed to negotiate a turn while traveling at a high rate of speed and collided with a palm tree.
The two male passengers, a 19-year-old and a 21-year-old were pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. The driver was transported to a local hospital where he remains on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The identities of those involved are being withheld at this time.
