ARVIN, CA – A 19-year-old man was killed on Saturday when an SUV collided with the motorcycle he was operating, reports KGET.
The collision took place just before 1:45 p.m. on Comanche Drive, just north of its intersection with Sunset Boulevard. The driver of a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban that had been pulled onto the shoulder suddenly attempted a U-turn, colliding with a 2010 Kawasaki EX250J traveling behind it.

The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and seriously injured. Emergency responders rushed him to Kern Medical, where he was pronounced dead sometime later.
He has since been identified as Ulises Ramirez Rodriguez, a 19-year-old from Bakersfield.
The driver of the Suburban and one of their two passengers were also taken to Kern Medical for treatment. It is unclear at this time whether the driver will face charges.
