NORWALK, CA – A motorcycle rider was killed on Wednesday as he attempted to flee police, according to local news reports.
The incident began around 12:15 a.m. when officers identified two motorcycles speeding on eastbound 91. The two motorcyles spilit up with on continuing on 91 and the other taking I-605 northbound.

Police followed the one that took I-605 and attempted to pull it over. The 24-year-old driver took off and left the highway in his attempt to evade pursuit.
He then ran a red light at the intersection of Alondra Boulevard and Piuma Avenue and hit a white Kia Stinger. The impact threw him off his motorcycle and he died at the scene.
The 22-year-old man driving the Kia remained uninjured.
