A car injury lawyer’s services would be useful in addressing legal issues emanating from the death of a teenager in Walker County, Georgia, on Saturday night, May 16th. The authorities identified the victim of the hit-and-run accident as McKay Bergeson, 19.
The preliminary accident report by the Walker County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol revealed that the fatal collision took place on GA 1 a little after 9:30 p.m. An eye witness said that Bergeson was riding a Trek Mountain bicycle when a four-door sedan struck him from behind.

The impact ejected the teenager from the bike, and he landed on the pavement of the roadway. Bergeson sustained severe wounds that claimed his life, and Walker County Coroner, Steve Rodgers, pronounced him dead at the scene.
The GSP investigators said that the unknown driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render help, and remains at large. The authorities have asked the public to contact them if they have any information about the motorist or the car.
Bergeson was an elder at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. The church’s Spokesman, Daniel Woodruff, said the teenager recently returned from the missionary work he commenced in December 2019 with the Tennessee Knoxville Mission.
Woodruff expressed his sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s family and loved ones. Other members of his community described the victim as a bright light who touched everyone’s lives.
Those involved in hit-and-run accidents should contact a car injury lawyer for legal advice and representation.
