NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA – A man was killed and multiple people injured in a two-vehicle accident on Laurel Canyon Boulevard on Saturday night.
ABC7 reports the fatal accident occurred near 10460 Laurel Canyon Boulevard around 8:15 p.m. A male driver of a white pickup turned right from a side road onto Laurel Canyon Blvd. He crashed into a red vehicle that was currently traveling on Laurel Canyon Blvd.

Local authorities report the pickup driver was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Five other people were transported to a local hospital for injuries. The injured parties include two men and three juveniles.
The impact from the crash caused the red vehicle to hit a nearby apartment building. Paramedics evaluated an 11-year-old boy who was in the apartment at the time of the crash but he did not require hospitalization for his injuries. Local firefighters freed two people who were trapped in one of the vehicles.
While investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing, local authorities report driving under the influence wasn’t a contributing factor. They did report speed was potentially a contributing factor to the crash.
