SAN DIEGO, CA – A 66-year-old man was killed after crashing into a pole along I-5 near the border, local news reports.
The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night in the area north of the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

The victim appeared to lose control of his Nissan Rogue while suffering from an unrelated medical emergency. He then left the highway, hitting another vehicle and a wooden pole.
No one else was injured in the crash.
