SANTA ANA, CA – A man in a wheelchair was fatally struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross at a busy intersection in Santa Ana early Tuesday morning.
According to KTLA, the accident occurred within the 100 block of North Euclid Street shortly before 7:30 a.m.

Officers with the Santa Ana Police Department discovered the man lying in the roadway with severe injuries at the scene. Paramedics attempted life-saving measures on the victim but he was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.
The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been filed against that individual at this time.
Details regarding the identities of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation.
