LONG BEACH, CA – A 52-year-old man from Long Beach was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver as he walked along an access road to the Los Angeles River, the Long Beach Post reports.
Police officers received reports of a pedestrian collision on an access road near Willow Street at about 5:25 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, April 25. Firefighters were already performing life-saving measures on the victim when officers arrived. They were unable to save the man, whose injuries suggested that he had been struck by a motor vehicle.
