A second driver, also travelling south, approached the scene and attempted to go around the stopped vehicle, hitting the victim in the process. The 26-year-old woman stopped to retrieve a piece of her car that had been damaged before fleeing the scene without providing aid to the injured woman.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The driver was arrested and is expected to face charges.
