The crash impact left Hurrington with fatal injuries, and deputies pronounced him dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office did not reveal the details of the other motorcyclist involved. The investigation is ongoing, and there’s currently no additional information.

According to the California Department of Motor Vehicles, individuals must ensure that they take precautionary and safety measures before heading out on their motorcycles. The two include but are not limited to taking a safety course, wearing a helmet and protective clothing, and checking the bike’s functionality.

Motorcycle riding is not just for recreation, as a single mistake could lead to fatal consequences. Thus, riders must familiarize themselves with their bikes and behave responsibly, bearing in mind their safety and other road users.

To achieve this, enhance visibility by wearing bright colors and riding with the headlight at full beam at night. Carry out actions that enable easy communication of intents with other people on the road and keep adequate lane-splitting space. Be prepared always and avoid weaving in and out of traffic.
