A hit-and-run accident in the Whiteside County left three Chicago teens with injuries. The accident occurred on I-88 on the night of Saturday, September 19 as per the accident reports. The teens were identified by the authorities as Trevon Taylor, 19, Tashiana Lane, 19, and a third female teen who was not named.
According to the details shared by the Illinois State Police, the three teens were traveling westbound on the I-88 when the incident took place. They were traveling in a Honda CRV SUV at the time.

Another vehicle, identified as a white Chrysler 300, crossed the SUV close to the Milepost 37.5. As the Chrysler 300 was overtaking the SUV, it sideswiped the SUV. The driver of the SUV then lost control and it ran off the roadway before overturning in the area of the median.
The driver of the Chrysler didn’t slow down or stop after the incident and left the site of the crash. The incident took place late on Saturday night and was reported to the authorities at around 10:00 p.m.
All the three occupants of the SUV, including Trevon Taylor, sustained injuries in the incident. Once the first responders arrived on the scene of the crash, they were transported to a hospital with non-critical injuries.
The identity of the suspect involved in the hit-and-run accident remains unknown as of now. Troopers are trying to identify the suspect driver and vehicle based on the evidence available. As the investigations move forward, ISP may reveal the name of the suspect in subsequent accident reports.
