BAKERSFIELD, CA – Officials with the California Highway Patrol say a hit-and-run collision in northeast Bakersfield left a motorcyclist with serious injuries on Saturday morning.
According to KGET, the accident occurred near the intersection of Niles Street and Glenwood Drive at about 9:56 a.m.

CHP said officers discovered a Ford Mustang and a motorcycle collided, leaving the motorcyclist down on the street.
The rider sustained major injuries but remained conscious while being transported to the hospital.
The Mustang driver fled the scene on foot.
